Mkhaya Game Reserve

This is Swaziland’s most remote wilderness area, with black and white rhino, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hippo and crocodiles. Named after the Acacia nigrescens tree that predominates, there is no self-catering accommodation here; instead, an exclusive lodge and guided drives and walks ensure that guests have the reserve to themselves. That’s a real treat, because Mkhaya is probably one of the best places in Africa to spot both rhino species.
