Cederberg Wilderness Area

Secretive, secluded and silent, these vast enigmatic mountains are home to the near-extinct Ceder Tree. But it’s also home to an increasing population of the shy, diminutive Cape Leopard.  Hundreds of rock art sites bear testament to the impressive legacy of nomadic Bushmen who until 50 years ago passed through this area for thousands of years. It is a magical place and beckons insistently to wilderness lovers. Size: 71 000 hectares. Situated between the towns of Clanwilliam and Citrusdal in the south-western region of South Africa.
